Acceptance of Terms & Legal Agreement
This agreement constitutes a binding legal contract between you ("User", whether passenger or driver) and SAHEL Application. This contract governs your use of mobile applications, websites, and related services across the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
SAHEL reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app, email, or published directly on this page.
Nature of SAHEL Services
SAHEL is a digital technology platform that operates as a technical intermediary connecting riders seeking transport services with licensed independent drivers equipped with inspected vehicles.
Important Clarification:
- SAHEL does not provide direct transportation services nor own a fleet of vehicles.
- Drivers are independent service providers and not direct employees of SAHEL.
- SAHEL's role is strictly to provide technology solutions to facilitate booking, route optimization, and transparent fare calculations.
User Account & Eligibility
To access most features of the app, you must create a valid personal account. Requirements include:
- User must be at least 18 years of age legally.
- Provide accurate, complete details including full name and active Algerian phone number.
- Maintain account credential confidentiality and refrain from sharing your account.
Terms for Driver Partners
Drivers joining via SAHEL Driver must comply with the following standards:
Licensing & Documents
Valid driver's license, vehicle registration card, and compliance with Algerian regulations.
Vehicle Inspection & Safety
Maintain cleanliness, valid technical inspection, and comprehensive insurance at all times.
Professionalism
Treat passengers with utmost respect and adhere strictly to traffic safety rules.
Non-Discrimination
Zero discrimination against passengers and commitment to completing accepted trips.
Terms for Passengers
When booking rides via SAHEL Rider, passengers agree to:
- Be present at the designated pickup location upon driver arrival.
- Maintain mutual respect and preserve vehicle cleanliness and property.
- Pay the complete ride fare upon trip completion via selected payment method.
- Refrain from transporting prohibited, hazardous, or illegal substances inside vehicles.
Fares, Pricing & Cancellation Policy
Ride fares are calculated using a transparent pricing algorithm based on distance traveled, estimated time, and wilaya demand.
Cancellation Policy:
Riders may cancel requests free of charge within the first few minutes of acceptance. Late cancellations after a driver is en route may incur a nominal fee to compensate driver distance.
Code of Conduct & Safety
SAHEL enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, safety violations, or misconduct. Accounts violating safety guidelines will be permanently suspended without prior notice.
Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights associated with the app, brand name (SAHEL), designs, and logos are exclusively owned by the company. Copying, redistributing, or reverse engineering any part of the platform is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
While SAHEL strives to maintain maximum platform uptime, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted technical availability due to unforeseen circumstances. SAHEL is not liable for lost personal items left inside vehicles but offers support channels to assist in recovery.
Applicable Algerian Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Algerian courts.
